Paul Oseguera threw seven strong innings as the Bridgeport Bluefish defeated the Camden Riversharks by the final score of 6-4. The loss drops the Riversharks six games back of the Long Island Ducks for first place in the Liberty Division.
Oseguera (9-3) allowed two runs in his seven innings while striking out ten batters for the victory.
J.R. Mathes (4-5) suffered the loss giving up four earned runs in six innings of action. Mathes gave up three runs in the first inning snapping his 17 straight scoreless innings streak.
Steve Moss double home two runs in the first inning to give the Bluefish a 2-0 advantage. Wes Bankston followed that up with an RBI double to make it 3-0 Bridgeport.
Moss finished the game 3-for-5 with three RBIs.
With a 4-2 lead in the 6th inning, Luis Rodriguez singled home Brock Peterson to extend the lead to three runs. Angel Chavez added to the lead with an RBI double to give the Bluefish a 6-2 lead.
