'Sharks Down Skeeters 5-1


The Camden Riversharks (26-29) beat the Sugar Land Skeeters (24-32) 5-1 on Sunday at Constellation Field, behind Raul Padron, who collected three hits. He singled in the first, third, and seventh innings.


The Skeeters' lineup had no answer for Sean Jarrett. Sugar Land  managed just two hits off of Jarrett, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out three during his six innings of work.

Steve Moss reached base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the sixth inning.

Jason Lane was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
