In the "I Swear I'm Not Making This Up" department: Marquez Smith was late getting to Campbell's Field today because a massive snarl of traffic was headed to the Susquehanna Bank Center for the 92.5 WXTU Anniversary Show, a country music festival.
Smith actually walked to the stadium, after manager Jeff Scott sent an intern out to take the wheel of his Chevy Tahoe and park it for him. He was inserted as the DH. Perez, for his part, took advantage, going 2 for 4 with a double and a RBI.
