Sharks Lose Rain-ShorOMG IS THAT A PINBALL ARCADE?!?!

Poor Carlos Vasquez.

In 5 innings of work, he gives up three hits, strikes out five, and loses.

Sure, two of those hits were home runs, a solo shot from Terry Tiffee and a 2 run blast off the bat of Yaibel Tamayo. But it's not like he was getting rocked. Five strikeouts! And the Sharks plated two runs of their own, one in the second when a Jonel Pacheco double scored Brian Burgamy, and one more in the fourth when Toby Hall grounded out to score Jake Eigsti.

The Riversharks lost tonight to the Stormers 3-2. Play was called after 5 innings due to rain.

Also, WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME CLIPPER MAGAZINE STADIUM HAD A PINBALL ARCADE IN THE SUITE LEVEL??????? BEST. RAIN DELAY. EVER!!!!

  1. Yeah, Kind of a bummer to lose after 5 innings. Especially with the short porch in left, reminds me of Red sox games at Fenway and going to the last out.Yesterdays game went like that. Considering the scheduling and the very last days of the season I'm sure calling it a game was a bit easier to finalize.
Great you made the trip to Lancaster PA Is there much to do there beyond baseball? Have you been to York stadium? I would like to visit York. Besides Camden another Atlantic league favorite team of mine.
    * Have you seen Otanez in Lancaster? He hasn't played in awhile
    * Also Twitter has a wite up as I understood it that Mumba Rivera is leaving ?? Do you know anything about it ? He was a steady player and when he was on highly effective. I was hoping he would have gotten a chance to start a game here and there ala Jarrett maybe if only for 2-3 innings

  2. Word on the street is that Otanez is leaving now that Eigisti(sp?) is here.

Mumba on the other hand left for what I believe were personal reasons that I was not fully informed on.. Either way Mumba was a HUGE favorite of mine and just about every game I went to I chatted with him a bit..

funny Mumba story... at the LIVE like JT jersey auction at the DH against the Ducks I set my sights on 4 Jerseys 3 of which I obtained (Yan, Koplove,Camacho & Mumba) well Mumbas jersey auction comes up and Adam the GM is doing the auctioning well after getting no bids higher then my $75 he throws a freaking suite on the jersey (winner gets jersey and 25 tickets and private suite) that thing shot up to like $150 $175 I could have killed him cause next to Ruddys jersey I wanted Mumbas... Mumba will be missed greatly... hope all is well with him

  3. Yes, Mumba will be OK. He retweeted to me that he was resting his arm and therefore closed out the season a week early. He was steady quite in 2011. With a slight improvement with his control an invite to AA doesn't seem out of the question at all.I commend you, on your donation to charity thats is big stuff!
