York Outlasts Camden

A dreary night started off in the Camden Riversharks favor in the bottom of the first inning. A leadoff double by Ruddy Yan was capitalized on by a sacrifice fly by Noah Hall.

The lead, however, was short-lived as the York Revolution charged back in the top of the second to take a 2-1 lead.

The scoring for the Revs started with Jose Herrera’s single, followed by the next five batters reaching base.

The ‘Sharks tied the game in the fourth when another double led to a run. Willis Otanez scored when Danny Richar’s sharp grounder was thrown away by the Revs’ second baseman, Bryant Nelson.

Again, the Revs answered back in the top of the 5th. James Shanks was hit by a pitch, left the game and Eric Eymann took his place. Followed by two consecutive hits, Eymann was able to give the Revs their second and last lead of the night.
For good measure the Revs added two in the 7th one on a Salvador Paniagua single and one on Mumba Rivera’s second wild pitch of the game.
